Emmanuel Lansyer is one of the most famous sons of the city, and within the old ramparts you will find the house that he lived and worked in around the end of the 19th Century. His works are on display and there are about a hundred in total that make up the best collection by the artist anywhere in the world. The collection also includes an excellent set of Japanese paintings that sit beautifully within the shady stone abode.
