This is one of the most iconic buildings in the city of Lyon, and as an ‘exchange’ has for centuries acted as a lasting reminder of the prosperity of the area. Constructed at the beginning of the 17th Century, the building was designed by well-known architect J.G. Soufflot. It saw a return to the classical styles in the city, and was replicated in several smaller and less grand buildings across the community. The facility is open to be viewed by the public.
