This marvellous mansion house was once known as the Croix d’Or, an inn built in 1771, to cater for the large merchant population that came to Lyon, seeking to trade in textiles and silk. It has over the years served many purposes within the city, and is without doubt one of the most impressive architectural sites in the area. Visitors arrive daily to marvel at the extent of the craftsmanship on the outside and the inside of the fine old building.
