Situated to the right of the cathedral’s main facade, this piece of architecture, which was once the front of a singing school in the heart of Lyon, represents one of the oldest remaining pieces of architecture in the entire city. All signs suggest that the facade was constructed in the 12th Century and the arches are definitely associated quite heavily with the Norman style of building. It is quite an unusual sight, surrounded by much more recognisable Lyonnais ecclesiastical and secular architecture.
