Located in the town hall, this permanent collection of art is one of the finest in the region. It contains a good cross section of pieces of art, mainly oil on canvass, that have been collected from a range of the major European schools of painting, dating over a five hundred year period. There are also some fine pieces that have a special significance to the local area, be that a local artists painted it, or influenced by the local surroundings.
