Lyon has always been famed as being the city of silk; it has a long connection with the industry and gained a great deal of prominences in the world because of its trading power of this product and many other types of textile. This museum traces the almost four thousand year long history of the Fabric trade in Europe and Asia. There are many hundreds of different types of Fabric on display in an interesting collection that is well put together and managed by the directors of the museum.
