Mathurin Méheut studied art in Rennes at the end of the 19th Century. Little did his contemporaries, or those people from his home town know, he was destined to become a real star of the art world, and his works would become worth a great deal of money. This fine museum houses the majority of the artists works which were gifted to the community after the death of the painter in the mid 20th Century. The collection is open throughout the year.
