This little town stands in the centre of a peninsular that has the great Atlantic Ocean both to its north and its south. It is therefore in the enviable position of having beaches on both sides. This beautiful unspoilt beach to the north is one of the most popular places with the locals. Although it is a little further away from the town and the amenities, it is noted for being a little quieter and more intimate in the summer months.
