The Laon Prefecture Building is certainly one of the most grand looking buildings in the town. It has been constructed with a great deal of care and attention to detail and very little expense spared. As you look at the grand stone façade, it says to you, this is an important place of business, show me respect, and that is exactly what people do. Some of the rooms at the front of the building are open to the public, although most of the building is a working administration centre.
