The Public Gardens are at the very heart of the community and are spread over several acres of well landscaped land. The green area is the largest of its type in the town and is well sheltered from the hustle and bustle of modern life by a great many beautiful mature trees. Within the gardens there are many flowers and shrubs that have been planted specifically to keep the area looking colourful and smelling sweet throughout the years.
