The only renaissance belfry in the entire Touraine region of France, at fifty two metres in height, this impressive tower is visible from almost every point in the city. The construction took several years to build and was finished in 1575. Today it is one of the iconic symbols of the city and attracts many visitors to look at it from the outside and enter the church that stands below, a fine piece of architecture in its own right.
