This is one of several exciting archaeological discoveries that have been made in the city of Lyon. It wasn’t until the construction of the new highway out of the city was started, that builders stumbled upon these remains. They were astounded to find the best part of the 5th Century church of Saint Laurent, some of which had been preserved in an amazing fashion. Today it is possible to visit the site and study the many artefacts that have been found.
