The town church has stood as a monument to the piety and faithfulness of the people in this area for many centuries. Although the foundations date back a great many hundreds of years, a lot of restoration and renovation work has taken place on the church in the past couple of centuries, meaning that the church looks a lot newer than it is. However, the work has been carefully done and in the great part kept the best of the original features untouched.
