The River Sorgue isn’t one of the largest rivers in the Provence region, but it certainly is one of the better looking. It surrounds the top of the town in a loop that historically would have acted as a natural defence against attack. Today, it is a great pleasure to follow the banks of the river to attain not only a marvellous view of the town, but to observe the wild life and plants that have made their homes on the banks of the river.
