The Telecommunications Museum is housed in old telephone exchange in the centre of Lyon and gives visitors a chance to see the way that phone calls used to be directed, and even have a go on one of the old switchboards. The museum recognises and celebrates the huge changes that have occurred in the industry in the last few decades and looks at how and why these have come about. There is also a nostalgic collection of antiquated equipment that certainly bears no resemblance to a mobile phone.
