Francis I, the king of France himself, ordered the building of this beautiful Renaissance style town hall in 1535. Since that time, the wonderful building has become an important and iconic symbol of the city, attracting visitors from across the country to marvel at the fine looking stonework and facades. The interior is just as impressive and houses a great many beautiful artworks and pieces of period antique furniture.
