La Rochelle Town Hall is one of the more flamboyant buildings in the town. It has a large majestic outer wall which has been constructed in a Gothic style, making the building seem even grander than it already looks. Within the outer wall is a brilliant piece of late 15th Century and early 16th Century municipal architecture. Built in a Renaissance style, the courtyard is always busy with visitors admiring the fantastic architecture. Tours of the area are available for a small fee.
