Although this beautiful structure shares its name with a similar building in Paris, it isn’t quite on the same scale. However it is still one of the more impressive pieces of public architecture in the city of Nancy. Built to commemorate and honour King Louis XV in the middle of the 18th Century, the fantastic architectural gem has since that time attracted locals and visitors to the area to marvel at the careful carving and stonework which was used.
