This fine looking museum is housed in the town hall at the heart of Narbonne. It contains a good deal of treasures that have been excavated in this area which is rich in Gallo-Roman history. There are many rooms filled with artefacts that help visitors gain a little more of an understanding of the foundations of the Narbonne community and the many smaller towns and villages that surround it. The museum also plays host on occasion to visiting exhibitions of archaeologically interesting materials from across France.
