Archaeology is something of great importance to many people in this area of the world because there is so much rich history hidden away beneath ground which helps to tell the story of the town and the region. This museum takes a large amount of samples and artefacts that have been found dating all the way back to the Bronze Age and put them into a chronological order which leads visitors on a journey of discovery. Housed in a good sized building, the museum is of interest to young and old.
