The Archaeology Museum in Nimes is worth a visit because of the long and interesting history that lies beneath it, and the whole town in fact. Many of the artefacts and examples that have been displayed as part of this collection have been found in or around Nimes in the last hundred years and date back many thousands of years. There is also a collection of pieces that have been uncovered further a filed, largely in Africa.
