Situated at the centre of the town in one of the main squares, the collection covers over five hundred years of historical artworks, mainly collected from the masters of the major European schools of work. However there is also a fine collection of oriental paintings and sculptures that form an important part of the museum. One can wander for hours around the museum admiring the treasures it displays.
