The small port of the town is situated on the canal, close to where it meets the sea, and has been developed to be far more than a parking area for boats. It is an attractive complex that gleams in the summer sun and is surrounded by places to eat and drink. There are a few boat operators who offer tours along the canal and out around the coastline from the port in the summer months, so it is worth popping down there and checking the ever changing timetables.
