The Canal Port is located just to the south of the town and there are several boat companies that operate tours from the area in the summer months. It is a good way of getting to know this area of France, ailing through the low lying land and enjoying the wonderful, at times almost bleak, countryside. It gives you a little of an insight into what the people who fought on this land saw all those years ago, in much darker days of Europe.
