The chateau is almost always one of the dominating pieces of architecture in a small community, and this town is no exception. Centrally located, the chateau building is the reason that a lot of the community was built, to serve and to service those aristocracy that lived in the castle. Throughout its time, the chateau has been used for a variety of purposes, but unlike many, was relatively well preserved during the French Revolution.
