The local cinema is one of the premier evening entertainment attractions in the town, and is quite a different experience to most of the ancient surrounding monuments for which the city is famous. The fine little theatre shows a good programme of films throughout the year, ranging from the blockbusters that Hollywood has to offer, to the lower budget art house films which are coming out of France and continental Europe.
