This church is an important religious structure in Montpellier. Built in 1702, the church too around three years to complete. It was the work of the legendary 18th Century architect Charles d’Avillier, who was also responsible for building the Arc de Triomphe and planning the Promenade du Peryou. The church building was extended and enlarged to accommodate a growing city in the 19th Century, and is still a popular place of worship today.
