This historic research centre was founded in Montaubaurn in 1598 and transferred to Montpellier in 1920. It is one of the foremost authorities on the history and study of the Protestant religion in France. Like all of these faculties, it is privately funded, and not part of the state run university system. The centre is open to the public where they will find exceptional displays and exhibitions related to the religious movements of the reformation in Europe.
