The Selet Forest is a large area of protected green land which is found to the north west of the community and has for many years been an important part of the local landscape. The forest is well loved by the local people and is home to a great deal of rare and beautiful plant and animals that are protected by the large canopy that shrouds the majority of the forest in darkness. It is a great place to go for a relaxing walk of an afternoon.
