The River Garonne is one of the most recognised confluences in France and carves its way towards the sea through this beautiful area of the country. One of the most popular walking routes in the area is to follow the river from the town, either to the south where it splits off into the canal or back inland to see some of the wonderful countryside that surrounds it.
