The history museum, although the name would suggest is completely focused on the history of the area, is in fact primarily a waxwork museum. That said, the museum does attempt to tell the story of Mont St. Michel and has life sized recreations of some of the most important people in the foundation and the development of the rather strange community on this rock in the sea. The waxworks are of a high standard and worth a look.
