Hotel de Cabre
Grand Rue, Marseille 13000 - France

Map
Standing on one of the more ancient and historic streets in the city, this beautiful house is the oldest surviving private house in the city. It is thought that it has medieval roots that go back much further than the unpleasant destruction of much of the structure in the early 15th Century. The majority of the present house was built under new orders in 1535 and the older influences can still be seen in some of the architectural styles. Within the house is decorated in a mixture of styles that have developed over the many hundreds of years it has stood.
