This building has seen a great many changes through the many centuries that it has stood at the heart of Metz. Originally built in the 15th Century as a granary, the building was turned into a convent in the 17th Century. Today it is home to a fine museum which carries a large collection of artworks and artefacts housed in over sixty rooms. There are many artefacts and antiquities from Roman times as well as a great collection of European paintings.
