This fascinating ‘house of the criers’ was originally constructed in the 13th Century and would have been one of the most important buildings at the centre of Narbonne Cloth Exchange which boomed during the 13th to 15th Century. The prices of the products were shouted from this house and traders would rush about making purchases, securing the best deal they could. The property is well preserved and is a remarkable example of civil Gothic architecture in the heart of the town.
