The River La Sambre flows through the heart of the town and is the lifeblood of the community, the reason that it exists and the force that has allowed it to develop. The beautiful little river has a track that follows alongside the bank, making for a fine afternoon walk that takes in not only the best of the man made buildings and monuments at the heart of the community, but some wonderful countryside when you get to the outskirts of the community.
