The focus of the maritime museum is to tell the story of the bay in which the town sits in a relatively serious fashion. It draws on documents and artefacts relating to the area that have been collected from many hundreds of years of research and paints a picture of this place that is inexorably linked to the sea, both socially and politically. This museum is well worth a visit if you are a particular fan of history or maritime affairs, and is less intended for children than some of the others.
