Positioned at the end of the Champsde Mars and in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower, this famous military academy is one of the oldest and most well respected in France. The building was constructed in 1772 and is one of the best loved and preserved classical Parisian style buildings in this central section of the city. The academy, far more than just a pretty piece of architecture has produced some of the great soldiers of the nation, including one Napoleon Bonaparte.
