Standing on the Rue Victor Hugo you cannot help but be struck by the fine looking municipal museum that dominates the street. It is one of the finest municipal buildings in the city and contains an absolute treasure trove of artefacts and antiques that help to tell the story of the city. There are good examples of paintings and pieces of art fro local and historically locally influenced artists on offer as well as many ancient documents to be browsed.
