Notre Dame la Grande is a truly magnificent church, situated just inside the city walls. There is some confusion as to the exact dates that the cathedral was originally built, due to a lack of decisive records being available from the early 9th Century to the mid 10th Century. However it is thought that the original structure probably has a history that is well over a thousand years old. The enormous structure is fascinating both inside and out.
