Ostwald Church is the main architectural centrepiece of this small community in the north east of France. It is a distinctive parish church because it shows signs of the German influence in its building style. Of course over the last few hundred years, this area has been contested between the French and the Germans, so many of the buildings have a certain Germanic quality to them that seems a little out of place in France, this church being a classic example.
