The Palace of Justice is one of the most imposing buildings in Metz. Situated on the southern edge of the old town area, close to the river and the large parks, the amazing piece of architecture is one of the symbols of the community and the people who live there. Built in the late 18th Century, the building has been a working courthouse for many years, but sections of the building are open to the public to view from time to time.
