The first Palaces of Justice were built on this site around 1660, and since that time have been an essential part of the workings of the city, making sure that justice is done within the community. Unfortunately the old building didn’t survive the revolution and the present structure was built at the end of the 19th Century, a classic piece of late Victorian architecture, a brilliant reminder of an age that has passed forever.
