Once known as Place Bistan, this beautiful public square occupies the space on the edge of the area where the old Roman forum once stood in the city. It was majorly renovated in 2004 and now constitutes a popular and interesting place for local people to meet. At the centre of the square is a fountain which is a remodelled version of one of the famous Roman remains which has been excavated. Originally the square would have had the ancient church of Saint Sebastian at the centre.
