This palace has been home to the Prince of Monaco for many centuries, built on the site of a 12th Century fortress that once protected the country from aggressive seafaring nations. Today, it is possible to tour the state apartments of the residence and see how the Prince and his family live. Within the palace is a fine art collection, interesting artefacts from the history of the dynasty and a great collection of antique furniture that has been collected from across the world.
