The River Clain runs through the heart of Poitiers and has been a source of life and transport needs for the people for many thousands of years. There are several paths that follow the river and give you the opportunity to see the man made structures that are so prevalent at the heart of Poitiers from a distance and then continue out towards the countryside and parks, which give a completely different, far more natural view of the area.
