The Rue de la Chaine is a long street that seems to have hardly been touched by the hand of time. It is framed on either side by half timbered houses that are typical of what the city would have looked like almost in its entirety in the 16th and 17th Centuries. These buildings have been perfectly preserved and each have been personalised in some way to agree with the owners taste. Therefore it is well worth a close look at the architecture.
