Saint Hillaire Church is situated at the far end of the town and is a significant Christian monument as well as a place of worship. This is so because it is thought that the church was built on the site of the tomb of Saint Hillary, who was buried in the city in the 3rd Century. The majority of what one sees today is the architecture that was added to the structure in the 11th Century and makes for an interesting pre-Gothic place of worship.
