The oldest part of Macon town hall was built around the middle of the 18th Century and in fairness represents a small section of the building that remains. It has been thoroughly overhauled and developed on several occasions, although in each incident there has been a great deal of attention spent on keeping the property looking as old and grand as it always has. Therefore, this building remains one of the finest in the town, located by the river in a great position.
