The town hall is one of the most spectacular buildings within this old city and is a true mark of respect and affection to the republic under which it is designed to serve. The looming stone facades are worth a closer inspection as they have been so carefully carved, you may well miss some of the detail at just a glance. The hall also contains some good looking local pieces of art and antique furniture on display.
