This museum is housed in one of the more grand buildings of the city, designed in the mid 17th Century and completed in 1657; it is a beautiful piece of architecture, representative of the style of the city. Within the museum is one of the best collections of earthenware and ceramics in this area of France, dating from the early 16th Century to the late 19th Century, the collection is mainly from the European art scene, although there are some Asian and African examples.
